But just in case you don't, I'm Trace, Celebrity Makeup Artist, Beauty Educator, and Beauty Business Coach on a mission to help Makeup Artists build, grow, and thrive in their biz so that they can turn their passion into profit and enjoy life on their terms.

HOW DID I END UP HERE?
The short version
NEVER in my wildest dreams did I think I would be a MAKEUP ARTIST, but I always knew that I was going to be making BOSS moves! I would imagine myself working for Fortune 500 companies and attending business meetings wearing a business suit, designer heels, a designer briefcase (now I'm showing my age, lol), jewelry, hair ...... ALL OF IT! And two college degrees later, I was able to obtain careers with Fortune 500 companies and climb the professional ladder into some pretty good 6-figure positions (wearing none of the above-mentioned glamorous things). However, I never knew that my life's mission would change, and I would now be the BOSS of my own business using these same corporate strategies that I learned to create, launch, and scale my makeup artistry business.
You thought a bridal makeup business would be easy to grow, let alone a makeup artistry business in general. Everywhere you turn, there's a new Makeup Artist popping up on the scene. And many find it hard to monetize their business and scale it to a full-time capacity in this over-populated space.

And let's not talk how expensive it is to hire someone to create your marketing, answer your customer service calls and inquiries, respond to your emails, engage on social media, create social media content, build your website, launch your new offers, build your email list, and the list goes on and on. So as entrepreneurs, many of us wear all of these hats while doing our actual job............you know, MAKEUP, that job where we use our hands all day. So how are we able to do all of the above??? Whew chile..............

This was actually me some years ago. No matter how many free webinars I attended, the numerous YouTube business related videos I watched, and the gazillion Google searches I conducted, I ....... JUST ....... COULD ........ NOT figure it out!! And if anyone tells you they have cracked the code........THEY LIED! There is no code. But what does work time and time again is having a clear and defined STRATEGY!

When I first launched Face By Trace, I quickly had business cards and a logo made. I even obtained a LLC. I meant business! I had brand colors and a vision board. I researched and researched for hours on end on how to grow my business. I listened to several webinars that screamed I needed an email list and a website. And while all of these things are important, there was something wrong in the sequence. Things were not in the right order. I did not have anything to put on a website and where would I obtain email addresses from, and what would I even tell my audience. I even reached out to assist a few Makeup Artists so that I can learn and gain experience, but was told nothing was available. So there I was overwhelmed while trying to figure it all out by myself, and still with ZERO CLIENTS. Surely I had my family and friends, but I wanted clients and new faces to explore on.
SO WHAT CHANGED FOR ME?​

I HAD A BREAKTHROUGH
It quickly dawned on me one day while a work!! Trace, what if you used these SAME corporate strategies that you use AT work?? Would this help bring exposure to your brand to acquire new clients?
